Ooexif

Image metadata viewer + privacy editor

See what your photos reveal.

oexif inspects image metadata, shows hidden details like camera info, timestamps, software, and GPS location, then lets you edit and export the image with or without metadata.

How it works

Milestone 1 beta: instant local preview is live. Deep EXIF scan, editing, export, and temporary server processing come next.

Images are previewed locally in your browser for this beta shell. Server-assisted metadata scanning will use short-lived temporary uploads with automatic cleanup.

Built to feel like a tool, not a form.

oexif is being built mobile-first with instant preview, deep metadata extraction, GPS map warnings, quick image edits, and clean or metadata-preserved export.

01

Inspect

Drop an image and see file details immediately. Deep EXIF extraction comes from the backend next.

02

Understand

Privacy-sensitive details like GPS, capture dates, camera, and software will be highlighted in plain English.

03

Edit

Crop, rotate, move, blur, redact, and add text before sharing.

04

Export

Save a clean copy or preserve metadata when that is what you need.

Privacy posture

Temporary by design.

When server-assisted processing is enabled, images will use random temporary IDs, short retention, automatic cleanup, and a delete-now control. The default export path will remove metadata.
